For years, Bianca Perez has been fighting for the humane treatment of her brother. Under the cover of law, Michael Perez must be subjected to inhumane forced treatment, as his sister reported extensively in her book “Die Schwarze Liste- Nazi-Paragraf 63 StGB-weggesperrt und weggespritzt” (The Black List—Nazi Paragraph 63 of the Criminal Code—locked away and drugged up). The Ministry for Economics, Labor, Health and Demographics in Rhineland-Palatinate has vehemently rejected the facts presented in the petition submitted, which called for explanation of human rights violations in German psychiatric hospitals and institutions, claiming it is incrimination. I therefore wrote the following e-mail in response to the Ombudsman for the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
Dear Sir or Madam,
Without examining the facts in the petition I submitted, Sabine Bätzing-Lichtenthäler, the Minister for Health at the Ministry for Social Affairs, Labor, Health and Demographics in Rheinland-Palatinate argues I hold the general suspicion that all clinics in Germany are guilty of inhumane treatment, torture and human rights violation, and have made speculations about possible killings. However, my statements focus on six specific institutions, and are about verifiable information concerning human rights violations which have and continue to affect individuals housed in these places.
Her reply shows no evidence whether Minister Sabine Bätzing-Lichtenthäler or anyone in her department is even aware of the documents presented in Bianca Perez’ book “Die Schwarze Liste- Nazi-Paragraf 63 StGB-weggesperrt und weggespritzt.” It is clear in these studies that the inhuman “medical” forced treatment of her brother Michael Perez is not applied as last resort in legal procedures as described but, rather, has been carried out as permanent treatment for years. This practice has destroyed the mental and physical health of the patient Michael Perez.
In the statement made on behalf of the Ministry in which you claimed to have full confidence in the integrity of supervisory and medical professionals, you explain that which cannot take place will not take place. This attitude of ignoring the actual situation in favor of looking away, which is also prevalent in other state ministries, means Rhineland-Palatinate and those in charge in the state are actively allowing human rights violations to occur.
I therefore urge the former Drug Commissioner and current Minister of Health, Ms. Sabine Bätzing-Lichtenthäler, to promptly reconsider this matter by taking the book “Die Schwarze Liste- Nazi-Paragraf 63 StGB-weggesperrt und weggespritzt” into consideration.
I sincerely hope Ms. Sabine Bätzing-Lichtenthäler can take the focus of her political commitment seriously and advocate for “high quality health and nursing care” in Rhineland-Palatinate.
