The campaign to expose human rights violations still continues. Today, while handing out the flyer “Psychiatry’s Destructive Force: Survivors and Victims of Forced Treatment and Torture,” Judi Klein raised considerable interest from passers-by in the small city Burg Stargard. This campaign contributes to exposing the major human rights violations committed by the German psychiatric system. This exposure is based on standards and specifications of the Berlin disability policy guidelines, which seek to promote and put into practice a sustainable implementation of the UN Disability Rights Convention. Though inclusion in a popular buzzword in Germany, the victims of psychiatric forced treatment and torture have neither a political lobby nor one in society. Are we truly a society that serves the needs and represents the interests of everyone?
